Outpost 2: Divided Destiny is a game in which the user will have to fight on the surface of a distant planet. In the future, the Earth will be on the verge of extinction due to an asteroid strike that made our world uninhabitable. Survivors escape from it on a ship and land on a land called New Terra, founding the Eden colony there. However, a split is brewing in the colonist government: one faction wants to terraform the planet, the other - to adapt to its ecosystem. Having separated, the 2nd party founds the Plymouth colony. Eden's experiments with terraforming and biology lead to the creation of the Blight virus, which destroys organic compounds. Part of the surface falls into disrepair, Eden and Plymouth are faced with limited resources, which leads to confrontation and the beginning of the war.In Outpost 2: Divided Destiny, the player will take command of the military and civilian forces of one of the 2 sides. The Eden troops are more technologically advanced and overwhelming in power, but the Plymouth troops are more maneuverable and dexterous. The emphasis, unlike games of a similar genre, is on managing the colony and ensuring its functioning, supporting morale, production and research. Most buildings and units are similar for opponents, but each faction has its own set of unique units. For each side, there is a story campaign consisting of 12 missions. There is also a free play mode that allows you to gain control over the settlement and lead it to victory at the user's discretion.
