Pamali: Indonesian Folklore Horror introduces the player to the ordinary life of Indonesian people, where ghosts, mystical objects, secrets, myths, taboos and the culture itself have become an integral part of their existence. Indie adventure with horror elements offers each user an individual experience, which is formed on the basis of the choices made during the process.Indonesia is a country with a rich culture and folklore, where there are many evil creatures and otherworldly beings. Here the user will also learn about local cultural traditions closely associated with supernatural phenomena. The game itself consists of 4 parts, each of which describes a separate ghost. The first part is dedicated to the White Lady - Kuntilanaka. The spirit of a woman who was not at rest after her death during childbirth. The adventure is based on the choice given to the gamer, on which the development of one of 35 endings depends. Here the user is given the role of a young guy Yaki. The boy had previously moved to Jakarta to become a journalist, but now he returns home, where the hero's parents have already died. The protagonist decides to return to sell his childhood home, because he needs money. The boy's sister, Nenden, died even before their parents, shortly after the birth of her stillborn child. The player learns the story through letters and diaries found in the locations being explored. For example, here you can find out that Jak's career was in first place, and he did not even come to his sister's funeral, and Nenden, trying to forget her grief, called the old doll Jaki her child. The events of the game unfold over three May nights in 1999. Every night, the user needs to create a to-do list, where tasks are set, by completing which the character gradually repairs the house. During the first day, the protagonist collects items, including documents for the building, death certificates of relatives, and makes a sign with information about the sale. During the night period of the next day, the hero is engaged in cleaning. In the process, more and more rooms are opened to the protagonist, following the list, where instructions are given regarding further available actions. Death is possible here only at the end, where the player receives the result of his actions. Kuntilanak pursues the character as he progresses and can appear at any time if the hero attracts her attention, for example, with inappropriate actions late at night. As the user progresses, the user solves puzzles, but the emphasis in the game is on consequences and interactions, as well as choices that affect the ending.
