Path of the Midnight Sun mixes a Japanese RPG with a visual novel. There are also survival and quest elements here. 2D graphics in this project are inspired by the anime. It has animation thanks to Live2D technology. You can choose from three difficulty types before you start. The gameplay here is quite diverse. It consists of customizing and upgrading fighters, easy management, travel across the global map, explore locations in the spirit of the point-and-click adventure, read dialogue with a choice of lines or actions, explore the lore, complete side quests, craft items and battles. Events unfold on a continent called Arvium. The story revolves around a pair of protagonists. This video game has two prologues. One tells the story of a knight suffering from amnesia who wants to fulfill a forgotten quest. And the second one is about a princess who carries the soul of the Demon King within her. Over time, these characters cross paths. Gradually new characters appear in the story. The story is told through voiced dialogues with large and animated sprites of characters in the background. It features tragic and comedic moments.
