The path is illuminated by an oil lamp. The guy is trapped - the entrance to the mine is blocked and there is no way back, so the only way out can be found only by breaking through the bottom. The backstory tells of the death of the hero's mother named Philip, who after her death receives a letter from his dad. The father disappeared immediately after the birth of his son and was considered dead, and the envelope is dated exactly from that period. The will contained a request to destroy the documents located in a cell in the bank. The curiosity of the protagonist led to the fact that he decided to translate papers written in a strange language - but in vain. From the documents it was possible to extract only coordinates located in snowy Greenland, where Philip went.Character Penumbra: Introduction independently gets to the treasured point on the map. Without an escort, the protagonist quickly loses his bearings due to the snowstorm that has begun and has already begun to freeze, when he suddenly sees a hatch in the ground, so in search of salvation, he goes inside. Here the stairs break off and Philip finds himself trapped in a room full of army things, supplies, boxes of cartridges. Now the boy can only explore the structure in the hope of finding an additional exit.Soon the hero realizes that he is not alone here - a strange creature with glowing eyes, which makes growling sounds around the corner. Among the weapons at the start there is a pickaxe and a hammer. In the process, you can get a pistol and a machine gun. The character sneaks through long corridors, steadily acting in an atmosphere of tension and fear, observing fog, rust and darkness everywhere. Making his way through a narrow passage dug by an unknown creature, the protagonist constantly feels its presence and hears the squelching of mucus and a roar. The gameplay is filled with horror, despair and fear of being left in a terrible place. Logical puzzles based on physics - here you have to put together boxes to climb over fences, balance with explosives on the edge of a precipice, solve codes, create a bomb.
