Phantasmagoria is an adventure horror with video inserts, for which professional actors starred. The storyline for this project, which was released in the last century, was written by Roberta Williams, a master in developing games of various sizes. Dozens of characters take part in the action, each of whom is endowed with a well-developed personality, which evokes all sorts of emotions. Phantasmagoria has an adult rating due to the large amount of violence, blood and images of bed scenes. The gameplay is made in the form of a non-stop video with an on-screen interface, in which the player sees items in the inventory of a virtual protégé, her health reserve and psychological stability, which is spent as she gets acquainted with what happened near the coast of New England.Main characters:

• Adrienne Delaney - a writer girl controlled by the player, who arrives at a gloomy castle to write a book. Once inside, she unintentionally releases an ancient evil that has been imprisoned here for hundreds of years.
• Donald Gordon is the protagonist's husband, who fell under the influence of a demon, after which he gradually began to go crazy.
• Zoltan Karnovas is a long-dead illusionist whose spirit tells the heroine about the backstory of this castle, because he previously owned it.
• Hortensia and Sofia Karnovas are Zoltan's first wife and daughter, respectively.
• Ethel helps look after the fortress, as well as Malcolm, the magician's adopted son.
