In Pieces of Me: Northbound, James comes to his senses when he finds himself at the train station. He does not remember anything: neither how he got there, nor even his name. Wandering around the night and foggy train station, he will piece by piece restore memories of his past and recent events. You can control the main character from the first person. The story in Pieces of Me Northbound begins at midnight. The protagonist gets off the train. Only standing on an empty platform does he finally regain consciousness. It's already night, so there's no one around, and all the shops are closed. James found only 1 working shop. There, a man in a shirt sells cigarettes and drinks. The protagonist notices something strange: the seller has no face. The same feature is observed in other strangers. The owner of the shop says that it is not open yet, so James goes to explore the place further. He can try to contact someone by using a payphone. In the lobby there is a stand with a map, where you can try to find out where the man arrived, and where he can go next. Having picked up the payphone, he hears the voice of the 911 dispatcher, but the hero did not dial this number. James remembers that he has a wife named Angela, and it was she who called the rescue service. A woman screams that someone is not breathing. The hero tries to talk to her, but the call is cut off. Now his goal is to find his soulmate.
