In PK: Out of the Shadows, players embark on a journey as Donald Duck, a Duckler Tower security guard who dreams of becoming a superhero. With the help of an artificial intelligence named Odin, Donald transforms into a PC and arms himself with futuristic technological weapons. His mission begins abruptly when the Euronians launch an attack on Earth, forcing him to undergo on-the-job training to thwart the invasion. Gameplay unfolds in third-person: users take control of the PC as it moves through three-dimensional levels. Armed with the versatile “X-Transformer” manipulator, the hero can shoot a laser for defense and movement. Along the way, additional X-transformer abilities are unlocked, including a super punch, a shield-destroying super charge, a remote X-transformer for navigating confined spaces, and a more powerful suit variant. Throughout the levels, gamers collect Activation Stars - green icons depicting the face of the First, they serve as control points of power. These stars require a total of 15 to activate a control point, allowing you to revive at the last active point after death. Various weapon options are presented, and they enhance the X-Transformer with powerful limited-use shots such as fire bullets and rockets.
