Project Gotham Racing is a racing genre with unique mechanics. Unlike regular racing, winning a race does not guarantee progression to the next level. Progression depends on two factors: driving skillfully enough to meet the requirements of the challenge, and collecting enough Praise Points. Users earn Praise Points by demonstrating exemplary driving technique. Actions such as precise power sliding around corners or skillfully passing NPCs during races contribute to the accumulation of Prestige. This dual requirement of speed and skill adds depth and strategy to the process. A meticulously recreated urban environment featuring four iconic world cities: San Francisco, London, Tokyo, and the newly introduced New York City.
