The gamer will try on the role of Shephard, who is sent to the prison - unarmed and without equipment. Here, the user will have to wander through corridors, hide from turrets, solve logic puzzles, and also try to figure out how to help a scientist. In the process, the protagonist receives a crowbar, after which the real HL mode begins. The player quickly moves along the corridors, his ward receives his HEV suit with multiple functions, including a flashlight, acceleration. Having found a way to free Freeman, the hero will have to help him complete the mission to exterminate the main common enemy - the Alliance and all its fighters.
