Ray Gigant takes place in the middle of the 21st century. All the cities of the world are captured by monsters, simply called giants. No army could cope with the offensive, but the situation began to improve when a man named Ichiya Amakaze defeats the "Giant" by joining forces with the mysterious creature Yorigami. The mechanic of joining forces with Yorigami is the key point of the game. Each of the main characters available here, whose adventures will be dedicated to separate chapters of the story, has their own "assistant" specializing in versatile skills. The game is a passage of locations, so the task will be to explore new territories. When it comes to the combat system, AP points play an important role, as they determine how many and what actions the player will perform in one turn (opponents also have AP). You will be able to make a maximum of five turns. Moreover, by fulfilling certain requirements, you will be able to launch a special Slash Beat mode, in which you will be able to inflict much more damage. A unique feature of the game is the review style during the battle. Some of the enemies are really big. So with a team of characters that specialize in attacks at different distances, the player will follow the duel from several points of view. A free DLC was released right after the game's premiere with some additions to extend life. This includes a strong final boss, a New Game mode, and several bonus story episodes that tell about the adventures of the heroes.
