The events in the game Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny begin with the fantasy world being threatened by orcs. To save the whole world from the invasion of green monsters, six heroes take matters into their own hands. To do this, the guys will have to go to the ends of the earth to find the magic sword. But first, you will need to collect a map, without which the search becomes impossible. This must be done as soon as possible, because if the heroes do not manage to reach the goal in 2 years, the ending will be very sad for everyone.The game is based on the German board game The Dark Eye. The gameplay of Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny allows you to explore the world around you, walking through cities and settlements, participate in tactical battles, communicate with non-player characters, search for useful artifacts, upgrade and fight enemies. The character acquires dozens of combat and magic skills that can be used while moving towards the goal. In the process, you will have to lead a group of 6 warriors, moving through locations from the first person.For orientation in space and movement between locations, a global map is provided, and a small location plan will help you not to get lost in any location. Battles take place in a turn-based mode in separate arenas with a top view. At the very beginning, the player can adjust the difficulty, including turning on or off the character's natural needs, diseases or fear of the undead.
