Road Not Taken is a fantasy roguelike where the gamer becomes a brave forester who goes into a huge winter forest in search of his children. During a severe snowstorm, a disaster occurs - the children get lost in the forest. As soon as the bad weather subsides, the main character goes on a journey. As the story progresses, he will also find himself in small towns and settlements and will be able to influence the fate of their inhabitants through previously made plot decisions. One of the key features of the gameplay of Road Not Taken is procedurally generated levels - all locations are created randomly, which is why the roguelike can be replayed several times and each will be unique. The gameplay is not limited to exploring the virtual universe - in addition to this, the protagonist must complete story and secondary quests. Moreover, there are several ways to complete them, and only the gamer can decide which one. These decisions directly affect the further development of events and the evolution of the world. Often on his way the brave forester will encounter puzzles that will require the player to be smart and use logic. Sometimes enemies appear on the horizon, and interesting mini-games can be found. Not only weapons, but also magical skills will help to cope with all the difficulties. A man is able to fly for a short time, and also move even very heavy objects that block the path. Magic will help to solve all the puzzles - the main thing is to use the powers correctly.
