During racing competitions in Road Redemption, the player uses any available means to neutralize the enemy. The racing simulator is created in a post-apocalyptic setting, and has a large number of improvised weapons, including saws, to win in motorcycle racing. The racing simulator has 3 modes:
- Random races - the user participates in random competitions.
- Online multiplayer - offers to go through a team sprint, where players are divided into blue and red teams that compete over several rounds. Points are awarded for killing an opponent.
- Offline campaign - here up to 4 racing participants compete with each other. The gameplay resembles a roguelike with randomly generated races, during which there are fatal outcomes. There is pumping and saving of the gained experience.
The user goes to conquer the tracks on a motorcycle, where machetes, saws, wrenches, clubs, and kicks of the enemy are used in the process. Strikes are carried out during movement. Along the way, the user collects weapons, for example, dynamite, which must be attached to enemy transport, a machine gun with a small amount of ammunition, which is better to use at close range. The gamer moves through different locations - there are old bridges, deserts, plains with rare buildings, and landfills. Rivals attack in all sorts of ways and fight among themselves. Cars deliberately crash into other transport, there is carnage and explosions everywhere. The AI itself is careful and will not risk its vehicles, but when confronted with the user, it does not miss the opportunity to join the battle. The goals here are different, for example, there are competitions for speed, for killing competitors, for first place. Sometimes ordinary traffic participants join in, as well as cops, who will also try to knock down a motorcyclist or beat him with truncheons. To break away, nitro acceleration is provided, but nitro, money and health are given for participating in fights. Upon arrival at the finish line, they are not restored, but are exclusively collected in the process. For money, attack power is purchased and individual limits are increased.
