Rogue Galaxy places the player in an RPG adventure atmosphere with a distinct third-person perspective, seamlessly combining exploration and combat without the hassle of loading screens. This format echoes classic RPG adventures, but differs in combat mechanics. Unlike turn-based systems, the project uses a real-time hack and slash approach, allowing you to control one character from the trio. The other two heroes act autonomously, following pre-determined combat strategies established before the fight. Strategies range from aggressive attacks to selective targeting or even non-combat stances, and can be changed mid-battle for tactical changes. What's more, you can give precise commands to NPCs during combat, including using items or activating special abilities. Inspired by NPC guidance, the gamer can listen to suggestions or choose alternative options, providing a dynamic combat experience where the user's decisions greatly affect the outcome of the battle. Throughout the process, NPC allies provide advice, recommending specific actions or the use of items, although their implementation depends on instructions or pre-set strategies. This system gives significant control over the pace of combat, allowing you to manage the fight according to your preferred style or dynamically react to the evolving situation.
