Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love invites you to a cross-genre session, where you will take command of Shinjiro Taiga and the all-female New York Combat Revue. Mission: to thwart the ambitions of the formidable Oda Nobunaga, who has decided to conquer the world. This dramatic adventure unfolds in eight chapters, where tactical RPG, dating sim and visual novel elements are organically combined. Gameplay alternates between adventure segments, where Shinjiro moves around New York, visualized in 3D, including the interior of the Littlelip Theater, and turn-based combat segments, which take place in a 3D arena, allowing for complete freedom of movement. Save points are strategically placed at moments that attract attention. During the adventure segments, Shinjiro can explore New York alone or accompanied by a participant of the New York Combat Revue. Conversations, a key aspect, use the Living and Interactive Picture System (LIPS). Critical dialogue choices provide up to three response options with a time limit, which affects relationships and future interactions. The Analog LIPS option provides a single response with analog input, changing the intensity of Shinjiro's voice for a more detailed reaction. Various actions within LIPS, such as triggering internal monologues or participating in quick-time events, create a dynamic narrative. Bonds formed with heroines can lead to romantic relationships, opening up endings for specific characters after completing the main story.
