Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage is a fighting game that combines traditional samurai battles with elements of strategic play. Users participate in duels using different characters, and each has different fighting styles and weapons. A unique life bar system is presented, divided into three sections. The life bar is partially restored after each round, but each time the bar is depleted, fewer sections are restored. The HP mechanic adds a layer of strategy, since you will need to manage your health over several rounds. A match ends when a participant loses three rounds. 3D graphics are used, but character movement is limited to a 2D plane. Can perform basic dodges to avoid attacks, but cannot move freely in three dimensions. Battle mechanics include weak and strong punches, kick attacks, and dodges, all controlled by separate buttons. This control scheme allows for precise and varied combat strategies, with a strong focus on timing and positioning. The simplicity of the controls makes the gameplay accessible, while the depth of the combat system challenges users who strive for mastery. Features 23 characters, most of whom are new to the series. Returning playable characters include Haohmaru and Hanzo Hattori, although he is revealed to be the son of an original character. Among the notable new characters are Seishiro Kuki, a government-ordered protagonist who wields a blue katana, and Jin-Emon Hanafusa, Seishiro's partner, armed with a jumonji-yari.
