Scarlet City of Devils immerses you in the atmosphere of demon punk in the vastness of the game world of Elovel. This gloomy metropolis has become an arena of struggle: demonic groups have split into many clans pursuing selfish goals and ambitions, be it power or other desires. Among them are the Knights of Virtue; they have seized control of the famous Fountain of Elovel, the source of the powerful Essence, and built an impenetrable fortress around it.Their dominance has sparked a major conflict as rival factions wage war to gain the fountain's power and establish their own rule, causing chaos and bestial violence to engulf the settlement. Into this unstable environment, Scarlet City of Devils arrives the protagonist, who must find a way to influence the situation and, perhaps, heal Elovel's shattered heart. The gameplay offers exploration in a 2D Metroidvania format, giving the freedom to explore the city's areas at the player's discretion.The video game unfolds over the course of approximately 5-9 hours of playthrough, during which you must navigate Elovel's non-linear levels. The structure of the locations encourages returning to already visited areas with new abilities or items to open previously inaccessible paths. This structure of the world allows you to gradually reveal the secrets of this gloomy place, moving through interconnected locations.
