Scooby-Doo! Mystery Mayhem takes Scooby and his gang on an adventure when they get into a mysterious situation. An evil force has released countless supernatural creatures from the Tome of Fate, forcing the fearless group to go on a search in five different locations. From the creepy Hambridge Library to the Milton Brothers movie studio, the Western-style theme park Gold Mountain, a gloomy bayou and the mysterious Sherman Tech headquarters, the gang will have to navigate these places to restore order. In the process, you will have to take control of two favorite characters, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers, passing five different levels on behalf of Mystery Inc. The dynamic duo's unique abilities come into play, including Scooby's ability to crawl in tight spaces and Shaggy's quirky antics. As players progress, they find important clues scattered throughout the levels and bring them to Velma Dinkley for analysis. Armed with the Tome of Fate, players can defeat unleashed monsters. By charging the book with magical lights collected along the way, players strategize on how to capture specific monsters, while human and alligator enemies pose challenges that can only be avoided. Defeating monsters by removing force fields blocking the exits is crucial to overcoming obstacles in some areas. The coolness meter of the characters adds an element of tension: when it is depleted, control is lost, which emphasizes the need to refill it by consuming Scooby snacks or other edible items found in each level..
