Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights is a third-person action game where you have to take control of your favorite character Scooby-Doo. The main goal is to find the missing gang in the mysterious Mystical Manor. Throughout the entire game, the hero uses a number of abilities and discoveries found on the territory of the mansion to help in the search. The combat system allows you to move, jump and perform attacks to repel the enemies you encounter. The opponents include villains from the first three shows, as well as smaller enemies such as bats, rats, spiders and crabs. The character's health is depleted when they are scared by villains, and must be replenished by various food items scattered throughout the map. Defeating a scary enemy quickly will immediately grant them food, aiding their recovery. Progress involves finding keys scattered throughout the levels, with more keys added as the narrative progresses, to access different parts of the story. Monster Tokens are used as collectible Easter eggs. These items, decorated with images of Scooby-Doo! Villains, introduce the villains in the Monster Gallery in Mystic Manor, revealing trivia about each character. In addition, the protagonist discovers inventions created by the Professor, which help explore previously inaccessible areas. Warp Gates make it easier to travel between activated points, allowing you to return to previous levels.
