In Secret Agent Clank, the process differs from its predecessors, offering a change in the role of Clank. Unlike earlier games, where Clank's participation mainly included puzzle sequences, here he takes on a more combative role, similar to Ratchet. Quick events become a staple of the game, forcing you to move around locations unnoticed, correctly performing button sequences. It is noteworthy that the colossal transformation in Giant Clank adds dynamism, presenting Clank as a formidable fighting machine. Playable characters extend beyond Clank to include Ratchet and the quirky Captain Qwark, each with their own distinct style. Qwark's plots feature exaggerated retellings of his adventures, punctuating the action. Ratchet being imprisoned introduces elements reminiscent of the arena gameplay from previous entries. The inclusion of Gadgebots allows for a focus on puzzle solving, requiring strategic switching between these robotic companions. Clank's arsenal consists of six unique weapons, such as a tie, cufflink bombs, and a thunder umbrella. Interestingly, Clank discreetly hides these weapons in cakes, smuggling them into prison for Ratchet to use. Various vehicles are introduced, including a snowboard, expanding the possibilities for exploration. You can improve Clank's combat skills with the help of upgrades that allow you to master new techniques and finishing attacks.
