Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice takes gamers to medieval Japan. Namely, in the Sengoku period. A hero nicknamed Wolf works as a bodyguard for the young lord Kuro. However, the boy is kidnapped by representatives of the Ashina clan, and the warrior himself is deprived of his left hand and, it would seem, killed. Shinoby comes to his senses in a temple, meets the mysterious Cutter, receives a prosthesis from him and goes to take revenge on the traitors. The story revolves around the Legacy of the Dragon. This power is capable of giving immortality. The narrative has 3 endings. The game is very different from Dark Souls, although it has the characteristic style of the creators of the trilogy. Here, from the very beginning, there is a clearer and more understandable plot. To understand the essence of what is happening, it is not necessary to read the descriptions of objects. The character editor did not migrate to this project. Bottles with estus and fires remained, but they have changed. Now these are flasks with medicine and statues. In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, combat is based on parrying. Opponents often have several life bars. To demolish them, you need to reduce the enemy's concentration level with your attacks and actively dodge or block their attacks. Pumping here is also different. To increase health, you need to collect pieces of amulets in locations. Stamina is improved in a similar way. The attack increases as a reward for killing certain bosses. For the destruction of ordinary enemies you get points, which are spent on purchasing active and passive skills. The hero can jump, climb, sneak, cling to ledges with a grappling hook and fly up using this tool. There is virtual gameplay and stealth. You can carefully approach opponents from behind and attack from behind. The main character is armed with a katana, which cannot be improved. Secondary weapons are in the prosthesis (it must be opened). These can be shurikens, firecrackers, an axe, a flamethrower, a spear and other useful things.
