Serafina and the Key to the Egg is a visual novel with a nice anime style and elements of turn-based combat system, where the player has to start a whole detective investigation while accompanying a girl. To unravel the mystery of her family and magical powers, the user will need to travel through the towns and meet many characters. They can both help advance the cause and stall it out of self-interest.

Serafina is a girl of noble lineage who possesses unique powers. To keep them a secret, her ancestors moved to a small village where the locals consider them members of the royal family. They also have a duty to keep a unique artifact called the Oval Key. But it was stolen a couple of decades ago and has still not been found. Suddenly the heroine receives a letter from a mysterious woman. She claims to know where the family relic is and, to keep things fair, offers to fight for it. Whoever gets the item first will own it forever. The protagonist immediately travels to said city, where a huge auction is soon to take place and the Key will be its main lot.

The player, Seraphina and ze Kay of Eg, will have to figure out how to redeem the item or steal it before it is sold. The girl's rival didn't talk about any rules, which means you can do things in a way that isn't quite fair.
