Shadow Warrior Classic Redux is a re-release of the game from the 90s for modern computers. The developers remade the special effects, increased the resolution, added all the expansion packs and optimized the product for current operating systems. The project itself is an old-school first-person shooter. The arsenal in Shadow Warrior Classic Redux is unusual. The hero destroys opponents with a four-barreled machine gun, an electric plasma gun, a rocket launcher, shurikens, a grenade launcher, two submachine guns (one in each hand) and a demon head that spews flames. In close combat, the protagonist punches enemies in the face with his fists or chops them into meat with a katana. There are also bombs that stick to walls or enemies and a heart that summons a double. Some weapons have alternative firing modes. The plot begins with Lo Wang leaving the Zilla corporation. The ex-mercenary learns about his former employers' plans to summon demons to take over the world, and decides to stop them. The company's bosses send their henchmen to get even with the shadow warrior. A plot twist will give the protagonist a reason for revenge. The narrative is replete with a large number of jokes and is presented in a frivolous manner. You can find a lot of references in it, including to anime. In terms of gameplay, this is a classic old-school shooter. No shooting from behind cover and automatically regenerating health. You have to save manually. In addition to crowds of enemies, the levels contain traps, secrets and puzzles. Sometimes they let you travel around the locations by transport. Before you get into the vehicle, you first need to repair it. The game has more than 20 stages with three boss fights.
