Shards of War is a MOBA game. The setting is different from other representatives of the genre. Developers usually create fantasy worlds for such projects. And these creators used science fiction. In the distant future, scientists invented portals. Heroes and villains have entered Earth from other dimensions through this gate. They have a massacre between them in the city of Empire City.

There are 14 characters available in Shards of War. Here they are called Guardians. Each has 5 unique skills and their own backstory. All fighters can be divided into 3 specializations: attack, defense, support. Users receive in-game currency for participating and winning matches. This money is spent to buy new protagonists.

The gameplay is as follows. 2 teams, 5 people each, fight on a map with three lines (locations here are several varieties). The squad that manages to destroy the enemy base wins. It is possible to teleport to your camp at almost any time. You can and need to pump your ward (experience obtained for the murder of enemies here is not indiividual, and the team). You'll also need to equip it with gear. It is crafted from the materials. These are given as rewards for completing missions, level up, and the game itself. There are standard and ranked battles, as well as multiplayer tournaments.
