SiN: Gold is a classic shooter that brought many innovative solutions in its time and unfairly remained in the shadow of its more famous neighbors in the genre. The game's plot takes place in 2037 in the city of Freeport, where horrific corruption and rampant crime have effectively destroyed the municipal government, handing over power to armed corporations. The main character is Colonel John Blade, an employee of the former police, and now the organization of Freeport investigators. Investigating the case of the appearance of a strange new drug on the streets of the city, he comes on the trail of one of the largest city corporations - the transnational SinTEK, engaged in biological and genetic research. The company was founded many decades ago, and now it is owned by the founder's daughter, the ambitious and charismatic Elexis Sinclair. A brilliant scientist decided to develop and direct a new round of human evolution with her own hands, and only the protagonist will be able to stop her from this crazy business. The gameplay of SiN: Gold generally corresponds to retro shooters, but has some peculiarities. For example, the original mechanics of damage on the bodies of enemies where the player hits are implemented for that time. Levels can be completed in different ways, many of which are hidden and not obvious, requiring additional searches. There are also several different types of weapons, interactive computer terminals and even vehicles.
