Skautfold: Moonless Knight is an adventure made in the form of a metroidvania, thanks to which the user is provided with an extensive map with various secret areas and locations located on it. You are given control of the knight Gray, for whom you will explore the ancient palace that belonged to the God-Emperor named Oda Nobunaga. The events of the story unfold in the vastness of Japan - accordingly, the environment is made in the Asian style. On the way, the protagonist will meet opponents who differ in their methods of fighting, health reserves, damage inflicted and other features. You will have to complete tasks, for each of which there are several ways to complete. In addition, you can complete them in any order, independently choosing where to go next.Skautfold: Moonless Knight contains the following gameplay elements:

• Secret zones - areas that the player can get to only after finding the necessary equipment for this. This aspect allows you to increase the playing time due to the fact that you will need to return to already completed locations to find additional items or information there.
• Combat system - there are many types of weapons used during clashes. Attacks are available from afar (for example, with a bow) and close. In addition, new abilities will gradually be opened, simplifying the execution of tasks. There is a feint system that allows you to dodge attacks or quickly change your own movement. You can also restore health.
• Leveling up - this moment is presented in such a way that the player is offered to use the skills he wants to improve more often. Points will be awarded for using the technique, which over time improve this very skill.
