Taking control of the main character, Carl Fairbairn in Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army, to fight against the last, most powerful Nazi army. Desperate, losing the war, Hitler decided to send his remaining battalion to Europe. There are hundreds of thousands of them, they are dead soldiers, zombies and monsters created by scientists.
The campaign is held both alone and in cooperative mode for up to 4 participants. Users will take control of Karl, a Russian soldier, a German officer or a scientist. The characters have similar characteristics and are capable of using any weapon. The main difference between the gameplay is the elaboration of the shots. Each bullet fired is subject to all the laws of physics and environmental factors: ballistics, wind speed and direction, and projectile weight. The bullet passes through several opponents if they are in a row.
Each mission takes place in a specific part of Berlin, where there are thousands of walking dead. Most opponents are slow and will die with one or two hits. There are opponents with a large supply of health or good offensive abilities. It is necessary to fight with bosses, some of them are huge and powerful, and others are magicians and sorcerers, summoning even more weak zombies.
As in the previous parts of Sniper Elite, the main character uses a sniper rifle. Most of the shots are shown through an x-ray showing body parts and how the bullet pierces them. Characters also use pistols and machine guns. At the levels, heroes place traps and mines if they defend against attacks.
