Spirit of the North is based on the mysterious and ambiguous folklore of the Scandinavian countries. The gamer will try on the role of a fox that wanders through the snow-capped mountains, discovering paths that pass between massive stone structures and rocks. The hero discovers the remains of a monk, realizing that he has come across the trail of an ancient civilization that disappeared in these endless snows, but why? In the sanctuary, the protagonist meets the spirit of a fox, who becomes his companion, helping to discover new places, overcoming magical obstacles. Soon, the companions notice that an evil force has enveloped these places with its presence, poisoning them with its poisonous rhizomes. The character is unable to resist the evil, and falls lifeless on the cold ground. A faithful companion does not leave his comrade, but gives him his powers in one of the sanctuaries. In the process, the friends will have to learn the secrets of the civilization that disappeared here, gradually healing the northern lands from evil.Moving across platforms, the hero solves logical puzzles, overcoming various obstacles. Here, jumping mechanics are involved, where the protagonist needs to select an inclination before each jump. The fox is also able to stick to surfaces, climbing slopes, jump in length, and conduct energy using basic skills - explode spiritual flame, which cleanses space from the influence of evil forces, go into an incorporeal form to overcome obstacles, perform magical jumps. To perform magical abilities, the fox spends a charge, which is replenished near special blue flowers.
