Star Trek: Hidden Evil continues the storyline of the ninth film in the Star Trek: Insurrection series, where the main character, Ensign Sovok, must expose a conspiracy, engage in battle with alien forces and outwit enemies, preventing them from destroying the Federation. The backstory is conveyed through an entry in the logbook, stating that the crew was ordered to return to Outpost 40, located in an anomalous zone called Rosehip. While the ship is undergoing repairs, the hero will have to lead the excavation of ruins that prove the existence of an ancient race. When recalling previous events, frames from the film are broadcast in the cut scene. Only a single campaign mode is available.Graphically, Star Trek: Hidden Evil all models are made in a three-dimensional structure, and the camera is fixed in certain places, showing a view from the side. As you explore and move along the location, the viewing angle changes, opening up parts of the map that were previously out of sight. Gameplay requires traveling around the area, fighting enemies, following Captain Picard's orders, collecting artifacts and records. To confront enemies, in addition to conventional weapons, the character also has a super-ability - Volcanic Nerve Clamp. This combat technique was developed by Vulcans. It affects opponents and instantly brings the target into an unconscious state, at this moment the victim does not even have time to scream, which allows you to quietly eliminate opponents without making a fuss.
