The truth is not entirely successful: their home planet has flown to pieces and now the mechanical workers survive on asteroids, extracting water there, without which their steam boilers simply will not work.The main character of SteamWorld Heist, the captain of the spaceship Piper Faraday, encounters a mysterious gang of half-mad mechanisms called the Iron. During the fight, they call themselves cousins ​​and every other word they remember their leader - Mama. According to the plot, the protagonist tries to understand why they steal not only priceless water, but also the robots themselves.The brave mechanized warrior cannot cope with the bandits on his own. That is why he forms a squad of mercenaries. He hires new crew members for his starship in space bars and pubs, spending water and reputation points on recruiting. Both resources are obtained during missions that take place on two-dimensional maps. Battles are turn-based, action points are spent on movement, finding shelter and shooting. The well-thought-out physics of the game project allows you to shoot at opponents not only in a straight line, but also using the rebounds of laser beams, bullets and grenades from two-dimensional surfaces. Part of the landscape is destructible, which adds dynamics to the battles.
