The gameplay of Stitch: Experiment 626 revolves around exploring the platform, finding items, and fighting enemies. Players control Stitch, called Experiment 626, armed with plasma guns that can be controlled using his four arms. However, climbing or holding objects limits him to two pistols. In addition, special weapons are available: the Big Gun, which fires guided missiles that deal massive damage, and the Freeze Ray, which encases enemies in ice. Throughout the game, collectibles are vital to progress, from DNA samples - blue for one and red for five - to squid bots that offer movie reels. These reels, 105 in total, can be used to record movie scenes and previews. Gadgets like grapplers help with navigation, allowing Stitch to navigate through hazards or get into tricky areas. What's more, the jetpack provides limited flight capabilities. The story unfolds when Stitch is under the control of Jumba, who is tasked with collecting DNA samples for further experiments. Each DNA sample helps in these experiments, influencing Stitch's path and abilities. The gameplay offers a variety of tasks: from fighting opponents to acquiring items needed to advance through the game world. An arsenal of weapons and tools enriches the process, adding levels of strategy and exploration to the platformer setting.
