The events continue the storyline of the original game and tell about the professional fate of the former detective of the local police department Dana Strange. Now the lady is a detective of a private office and carries out orders of ordinary citizens. As a partner, she gets a certain Malcolm, with whom she successfully coped with the debut case at her new place of work. The current investigation is not like the previous ones, because here the investigators are dealing with a mentally insane criminal who is ready to do anything to achieve his goal.Searching for clues and useful things in Strange Investigations: Two for Solitaire is the main task. The heroine is forced to move around the world using a global map. The locations are detailed areas with attention to design and details. Interaction with the surrounding space is available and not prohibited. Things needed for crafting are placed in the inventory, with their participation, answers to some tricky puzzles are created. If the rebus has led the user to a dead end, calling a hint will help to get out of an unpleasant situation. Game victories are obtained for successfully completing missions and correct solutions to small puzzles. After completing the main story campaign, the player can participate in the bonus mode and find hereditary treasures.
