Strategic Mind: Collection is a collection of three strategy games: Strategic Mind: The Pacific, Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg and Strategic Mind: Spectre of Communism. All three versions are tactical wargames set during World War II. Each installment depicts the struggle between different countries involved in the battles.The first installment of Strategic Mind: Collection focuses on the struggle between the US (and its allies) and Japan. In December 1941, Japan launched a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, sinking and damaging several ships. This is where the game begins. Depending on which side is chosen, Japan or the US, the player will either participate in the battle themselves or be called in to deal with its aftermath. There are two campaigns, showing both sides of the conflict. Some of the most important battles, such as the Battle of Midway, as well as some lesser-known ones, can be seen in them.The second game, Blitzkrieg, will show perhaps the most notable moments from Germany's experience during WWII. The campaign will also allow you to dive into the Spanish Civil War. Both the scripted timeline and cinematic parts of Blitzkrieg look great. The art style and animation are pleasing to the eye, the music is charming and adds to the overall atmosphere. An important aspect of the gameplay that sets it apart from its peers is the advancement of units. The basic ones can be improved in three ways: by upgrading, and also through experience and equipment. Upgrading involves changing the type of the base unit, for example, going from regular infantry to paratroopers. This usually offers several stat boosts overall and a new ability.The third part, Spectre of Communism, will take you through WWII from the perspective of the Soviet Union. The campaign story is very close to the facts, and also added a few alternative moments of history to keep it relevant. The key figure is obviously Joseph Stalin, but history buffs will recognize many of his comrades. The campaign includes 20 missions and covers events from 1939 to 1945. Each mission provides a list of primary and secondary objectives. Only the most important objectives need to be completed to progress, but there is an option to continue playing until all are completed. Objectives task the player with killing units and capturing buildings, and the more the player completes, the more rewards are unlocked for the headquarters, which in turn unlocks other bonuses. There are also 5 difficulty levels to ensure a fun and challenging experience for all skill levels.
