Stronghold Crusader HD is a remaster of the sequel to the cult game. The release includes the Extreme expansion, increasing the maximum number of units to 10,000 units. The update improves the graphics and allows this RTS to work normally on modern operating systems. The project combines an economic simulator and a real-time strategy. It has a map editor and a free mode. The game differs from the original in its setting and changes in some mechanics. The gameplay remains the same. Here you need to build a small settlement, fence it with walls and turn it into a full-fledged castle. At the same time, you need to monitor taxes, provisions, and the mood of the peasants. Since the action now takes place in a desert area, the process of farming has become more complicated. Farms are only allowed to be built near oases. You still need to produce weapons for your soldiers. It is now possible to buy mercenary services. Eastern warriors not only have different skills, such as arson, but also do not require any equipment. Stronghold Crusader HD has 5 campaigns:

• To Arms! – a long story tutorial that tells about the First Crusade;
• Saladin's Conquests – the name clearly describes the essence, on behalf of the Muslim leader we need to besiege fortresses and capture lands with the help of Arab troops;
• Royal Crusade – here we are allowed to influence the attempt of England, France and Germany to liberate Jerusalem;
• Warriors of the Crusaders – here fans of the first part will again meet the Rat, Wolf, Snake and Boar;
• The Path of the Crusader – a set of 100 missions with constantly increasing difficulty.
