Subterranauts is a multiplayer horror game in which people find themselves in a post-apocalyptic underground world where survival depends on teamwork, quick decisions and resource management. Up to six players are sent into procedurally generated tunnels and dungeons filled with complex creatures and unsettling environments. It uses proximity-based voice chat, which creates a tense atmosphere as players can only hear each other if they are close, adding an element of tension and tactical planning.In Subterranauts, players take on the role of employees of the Scrap Distribution Association, tasked with collecting scrap and other resources in dangerous underground areas. In each mission, players must mine resources and complete tasks to earn Company Bucks, which are essential for progression and survival. Teamwork is required to navigate the dangerous tunnels and avoid or confront the various threats lurking underground.The application combines elements of exploration, adventure action and resource management, as well as a darkly comic tone and dystopian horror themes. The work also includes dungeon crawling mechanics, encouraging players to develop a strategy on the go, saving resources and managing encounters.
