Sudden Strike Gold is a mod for the RTS of the same name, which added Campaigns for each side of the conflict to the game - the Third Reich, the USSR, the Allies: Britain, France, the USA. Here they also added single missions and 10 multiplayer missions, improved the interface, and simplified the process of disembarking soldiers from transport. The main game feature is a subtle combination of historical wargame with a modern real-time strategy.After selecting a country, the user gets access to units - tanks, infantry, artillery, aviation is available less often - a total of more than 1 thousand combat units. For each state there is a separate Campaign of 12 missions - the Allies, Germany, 11 for the Soviets. In Confrontation, the user is engaged in performing various tasks - sabotage, capture or defense of settlements. Thanks to large maps, the gamer gets the opportunity to implement their own strategic and tactical maneuvers. During battles, the situation on the battlefield is assessed, decisions are made quickly, the advantages and disadvantages of individual units - their own and enemy units are taken as a basis. Hardcore is added to the game by the fact that troops are created at the start, and in the process this is not available, so it is important to appreciate each combat unit. Armies can interact with the landscape, where various objects are subject to destruction - shelters and houses, bridges and trees. The damage system is advanced, and displays the various impacts of 16 types of shells. There is no standard construction and trade system, which was replaced by a simpler and more functional one - reinforcements and supplies. The strategy also has an in-game map editor, thanks to which the gamer creates his own options, where battles take place, using extensive settings.
