Sunderfolk is a joint turn-based tactical RPG, whose gameplay is focused on local joint passage. The project uses mobile devices, turning smartphones or tablets into the main controllers for interacting with the environment. The adventure is designed for a company of up to 4 people who simultaneously study the Sunderlands region. Access to gameplay requires the installation of a free companion app on each player's mobile device.To dive into Sunderfolk, personal devices scan a QR code on the screen, which opens access to download the necessary program, compatible with iOS and Android. This program then functions as a controller, displays available cards, allows you to manage your inventory, and introduces the rules directly on your handheld device. People choose their roles from six hero archetypes: Arcanist, Bard, Berserker, Pyromancer, Ranger, and Rogue, each with their own combat style. Hero specialization occurs through the collection and use of Skill Cards, while Trinkets and Weapons obtained between tasks expand their capabilities.Battles are turn-based, with each person choosing one Skill Card to determine their hero's actions for the current turn. The enemies encountered have special abilities and tactics, which forces the team to adjust the approach in different skirmishes. In between battles, the team can return to the village of Arden, a settlement near a deposit of the substance brightstone. In Arden, you can improve merchants, buy items and equipment, and also establish relationships with locals for bonuses.
