Super Mario Bros (classic 1985) is a classic project that almost any video game user has heard of. It became one of the most familiar works in the platformer genre. Many of the mechanics introduced in this game were popularized in it, for example, the use of side scrolling in two-dimensional space. For its time, some innovative solutions were used, such as training the player within the gameplay itself by gradually increasing the difficulty. Also, here was the beginning of a whole famous series. The plot tells about the events that took place in the peaceful and lost Mushroom Kingdom, wisely ruled by Princess Peach. The evil leader of the wild tribes Bowser attacked him and imposed a curse on the country, which turned the inhabitants of the state into inanimate objects: blocks, plants and much more. Instead, their realm is overrun by the horrific creatures that the conqueror brought with him - several species of living mushrooms and powerful creatures leading them forward, such as the Super Mushroom and the Fire Flower. After learning about what's going on, a plumber named Mario and his brother Luigi set out to rescue the princess from Bowser's imprisonment and allow her to lift the spell. The gameplay of Super Mario Bros is typical for platformers, because it laid the foundation for the entire genre. The player moves through locations made in 2D, moving from the beginning to the end of the levels from left to right. On the way, he will encounter monsters that can be defeated by jumping on them from above, but a head-on collision will take his life. It is also necessary to avoid traps scattered along the route, find a way to get around obstacles and collect coins.
