They create shelters to survive.The protagonist wakes up on a mysterious island and finds a bite on his body, indicating infection with a zombie virus. The latter is extremely strong, and the body's normal forces cannot cope with it. Therefore, the protagonist needs to build a shelter where he can not only hide from the invasions of the living dead, but also try to survive in the mortal world. You also need to be prepared for another zombie attack - they do not know fatigue, expect an attack at any time of the day. The walls of the last stronghold must be resistant to the influx of the dead, otherwise they will break through the entrance with their numbers and tear the main character apart.
