System Shock will tell the story of a nameless hacker who was caught trying to hack the Citadel station. The poor guy is brought before the eyes of the owner of the TriOptimum corporation, Edward Diego, who offers to work against the artificial intelligence SHODAN, which controls the station. For him, the guy steals a certain mutagenic virus so that the oligarch can sell it on the black market as a biological weapon. In exchange, the craftsman receives a neural implant, as a result of which he should become almost invincible, but instead, he goes into a six-month coma. When the hero wakes up, he discovers that SHODAN has gone on the offensive and has already captured the station, apparently in revenge for the theft. During the game with a non-linear plot, the character will have to fight all the robots on board the ship. And even people become enemies - now they are AI-controlled cyborgs. Also, the hacker will have to show all his ingenuity and skills to defeat not only artificial intelligence, but also the former employer, who becomes the strongest cyborg. This will require not only running through closed corridors, but also sometimes going out into cyberspace. The main task of passing System Shock is to prevent SHODAN from moving into earthly computers and turning off the laser in order to infect humanity with a dangerous virus, and the main character will be assisted by Rebecca Lansing, a counter-terrorism consultant.
