In Tactical Intervention, the player takes part in clashes between anti-terrorist units and terrorists. The shooter differs from others in its realistic approach to battles. The user will play as members of the most famous anti-terrorist groups and take part in actions against fictional terrorist organizations. Players compete on realistic maps, including a British shopping mall, a construction site in Jerusalem, and a French motorway. The locations here are not empty. On the maps you can find cars of civilians, passers-by who unwittingly became participants in the events, and animals. This brings an element of chance into the game. Victory depends not only on the player's reflexes, skillful vision and interaction of the entire team, but also on the competent use of environmental elements. Especially since all objects on the ground are subject to destruction. Therefore, there is no completely safe shelter here. The competition takes place in two main modes: Team Deathmatch and Mission. While the first concerns competition, in the second option, the primary task for both groups of players is to achieve previously established mission goals. A wide arsenal of real weapons helps in this. Each of them can be properly configured using a number of additional accessories and attachments. The shooter was based on a heavily modified Source engine. This made it possible to create realistic and extensive maps, as close as possible to real known areas of the planet.
