RPG is a well-known acronym for the concept of role-playing games, in which the gameplay is based on playing a gamer role. As a rule, the character, controlled by the player, initially takes a certain place in the universe, but it also happens that the search for this place is the basis of the narrative, being the main goal of the passage.

The RPG genre has evolved over the decades of its existence. The old classics of the game from this category are fundamentally different from the new projects that have come to replace them. Take, for example, the series Diablo, which by its very concept is a hack-and-slash, where the lion's share of the gameplay given to sweeping the dungeon from the various evil spirits. Served all this action in the form of top-down, where the camera is positioned at the top. The Witcher franchise, in turn, is the exact opposite of "Diablo", despite belonging to the same genre. In The Witcher the camera is behind the protagonist, and the gameplay neatly balances between combat and direct participation in dialogue.

Typically, in traditional role-playing games, the emphasis is on the dialogue. In addition to battles, the player character has to take part in a dialogue, which are often designed to shed light on the plot twists and turns, to get some quest or get out of the replicas useful information. Moreover, in many of these RPGs eloquence is one of the many elements of the talent tree. Raising this skill, the character gets more opportunities in the dialogue and, as a consequence, accelerates the movement in the storyline.
