The plot of Tales of Berseria tells about the powerful empire of Midgand. The action takes place in a surreal world 1000 years before the events of the Zestiria part. The Holy Empire takes its own origin on an archipelago of many other land areas. This faction has an impact on the surrounding territories and other kingdoms.The surrounding world is inhabited by malakhim and the human race. People have made malakhim slaves and use their supernatural essence. A terrifying demonic plague has recently spread across the country. Everyone who has been exposed to it, after a while, begins to lose control and turns into a monster. Because of this, the Abbey order appeared, influencing the government and ordinary citizens. They are trying their best to destroy everyone who has turned into a demon and find a vaccine. But recently their powers have crossed obvious boundaries.As in other parts of the series, the combat uses the Linear Motion Battle system. Thanks to this, you are able to openly move around the battle in each universe and eliminate opponents using spells or physical attacks. In this Japanese role-playing adventure, you control a character from a third-person perspective, travel around the world and complete tasks. Interact with other characters in thumbnail mode, where lines for conversations are presented. Dialogues can be comical or serious, there are also animated clips with the characters' faces.
