In Tanuki Justice, users don't have to think about the plot or the characters' stories, because from the first seconds of the gameplay they are immersed in a storm of action. The focus is on the Tanuki brother and sister, who, in the era of feudal Japan, fight the most dangerous monsters and creatures. The safety of the entire surrounding world is under threat, so you need to get rid of the evil spirits that crawled out of nowhere as quickly as possible. The gameplay in Tanuki Justice corresponds to a classic platformer. In a two-dimensional world, the character moves around locations, eliminating enemies. The main mechanics concern battles and the ways in which you can get rid of opponents. So, the hero has a special scale that fills up as he inflicts damage on enemies. When the scale is full, the gamer can press the corresponding key, activating a special attack. One of the characters has a huge shuriken, which when launched covers a large area, erasing enemies from the map. Therefore, if you see a cluster of enemies ahead that you can’t destroy pointwise, you can safely resort to this option. The further gamers go, the more intense the gameplay becomes. Additional threats appear that you need to respond to instantly. For example, while the character is fighting off small opponents, he needs to quickly descend along the platforms, because a huge plate with spikes is pressing on him from above. Boss battles are a separate topic, because each of them has their own fighting style. Some can literally split their body, attacking in different ways, while others try to strike the area to prevent the heroes from dodging. One way or another, each requires a special approach, because even powerful frontal attacks do not always give the desired effect.
