Team Buddies is a unique blend of humor and strategy that offers a real-time experience. It is based on the concept of teamwork, where players control a team of friends and are tasked with collecting crates to create various items and vehicles. These items range from light weapons to heavy artillery, with each configuration providing different advantages on the battlefield. Eight original worlds and many special sets can be unlocked, providing a lot of variety. To succeed in Team Buddies, you will need to master the art of crate stacking. This involves strategically placing crates on a 2x2x2 grid to create the desired item or vehicle. Additional team members can be created by stacking crates on top of each other, giving more strategic options in battle. Whether it is an attack, defense or construction, you will need to effectively use the abilities of your team to ensure victory. In the heat of battle, you will need to defend your base from enemy attacks. Destroying your base not only limits a team's ability to spawn new members, but also disables their stacking area, so it is imperative to protect this key asset. Without a base, teams are forced to scavenge for weapons and rely on what is dropped by enemies or found on the map, adding an extra layer of complexity to the process.Crate drops play an important role in providing essential resources. These drops occur at various points around the map, offering both standard yellow crates and special yellow crates with a blue border. Incorporating these special crates into formations expands the capabilities of the spawned objects or units, providing a strategic advantage in combat. In addition, under certain conditions, mega crates can spawn, offering rare weapons or vehicles to those who can protect them.
