Tenchu: Fatal Shadows follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, Wrath of Heaven, using the same engine for smooth gameplay. The iconic ability to move and hide fallen enemies returns, adding depth to stealth tactics. Players collect scrolls instead of Kanji points, with the number required increasing as the story progresses. Double stealth kills are featured for quick eliminations, each with its own signature animation and name. Set in a turbulent era of feudal conflicts. The story revolves around Rikimaru and Ayame, skilled ninjas serving Lord Goda. Their mission: to rescue Princess Kiku from the clutches of Lord Mei-Oh. However, tragedy occurs when Rikimaru disappears during an escape attempt. Despite her loss, Ayame continues her duties, patrolling the lands of Gohda. Along the way, she comes across a devastated ninja village and meets Rin, a young ninja involved in the destruction. Their meeting sets the stage for a journey full of intrigue and danger. As Ayame and Rin's paths intertwine, secrets are revealed, and alliances are tested. Kuroi's mysterious whispers hang in the air, hinting at a deeper mystery shrouded in darkness. With Rikimaru's fate unknown and new threats emerging, Ayame and Rin must navigate dangerous terrain to uncover the truth and protect what is dear to them. The gameplay features seamless stealth mechanics for a fluid and strategic experience, as well as dynamic combat encounters with unique animations for each stealth kill.
