The Artful Escape is a third-person side-scrolling musical action game. The protagonist Francis Vendetti, on the eve of his first performance, goes on a journey to understand what he really wants and create his own stage image. It all starts in the small town of Calypso Colorado. Francis, the nephew of the folk icon Johnson Vendetti, walks around the town, listening to passers-by and visitors to cafes and restaurants. He understands that his uncle left behind a significant contribution to the development of music. The protagonist also wants to make a name for himself, but to do it in his own way, without copying Johnson Vendetti.In The Artful Escape, everything that surrounds the player, from the characters to the landscapes, is a phantasmagoria. The main character can be customized at your discretion. You can change almost any aspect: his stage name, backstory, what planet he is from and, of course, the suit in which Francis performs.The main character uses the language of music to communicate with various creatures and places of interest throughout the journey. The game has well-arranged battles, not with the use of weapons, but with a demonstration of their musical skills. From time to time, on the path of the main character there are creatures of unearthly beauty and enormous scale.
