The Collons Bequest, an expansion to the Sierra On-Line adventure, deviates from the usual emphasis on puzzles and emphasizes the complex web of characters in its narrative. While solving puzzles contributes to a commendable outcome, the point is to uncover the background and relationships of the characters. Surprisingly, it is possible to move through the campaign without solving puzzles, revealing important details about the characters or the identity of the killer.Although actions are recorded, there is a noticeable lack of a noticeable scoring system. After completion, instead of harsh grades, the game generously hands out hints and information about missed nuances, hinting at its inherent replayability. Characters adhere to a carefully planned schedule, which makes it possible to follow them. Laura Bow, the main character, must tread carefully, as characters can express irritation if they notice her asking questions or asking questions too persistently. However, these interactions have little impact on the plot. While death is a constant threat, Laura Bow, due to her non-membership in the Dijon family, is rarely the direct target of the mysterious villain. In keeping with adventure tradition, deaths usually occur as a result of random incidents, such as falling from a balcony or encountering disasters such as falling chandeliers.
