As you progress along the storyline, characters are pumped up by selecting new skills and developing existing skills. You can equip your charges with items - common, unusual, rare and legendary, including self-created ones. The action takes place on a map with hexes, where there are a lot of locations, for example, meadows, mountains, forests, settlements, caves, sawmills, mines, swamps. Many unpredictable events take place here: robberies, encounters with bandits, battles with bears, thefts of animals, hunting, during which the user overcomes a lot of problems: searches for and destroys the enemy, collects resources, frees hostages. In the Skirmish mode, the gamer selects a team of mercenary heroes, who go through a quick series of tests where you can earn achievements. There are special weapons, their own combat features and random challenges. There are 11 characters with different skills and belonging to different classes, where in addition to the standard sniper, doctor, there is a priest who blesses bullets right during a combat fight, and an assassin who can paralyze enemies.During the battle, the heroes are formed into squads of 3 to 5 fighters, each of whom has 2 action points, which are used to use skills, turn on observation mode, attack and take cover. To win, you need to learn how to act competently and tactically, placing your charges in the right positions in which they will be invulnerable to enemy attacks. By activating Observation, warriors receive various bonuses to characteristics, as well as additional features and moves. During the battle, you can also occupy high points, destroy shelters by blowing up barrels or dynamite. To calculate the probability of a hit or miss, a percentage counter of chances of success is implemented. The team of mercenaries is also able to capture settlements, mines, sawmills, which allows you to acquire resources needed for additional fighters, for research.
