The Long Dark is a realistic first-person survival simulator in which players engage in an unequal battle with nature. A mysterious geomagnetic catastrophe occurred, which resulted in a complete failure of electronics. The game centers on people who have to try to stay alive in these difficult conditions. There are 3 game modes. Survival is a hardcore sandbox in an open world. The goal in this adventure is to survive as long as possible, and death is final. Story mode tells a linear story of two heroes who crashed in northern Canada. The narrative will introduce players to the remaining residents, and will touch on the secrets of the causes of the disaster that occurred. • Weather is the main enemy of the protagonist, which requires you to always be in search of a source of heat. But there are not always buildings nearby in which you can warm up, and it is completely impossible to light a fire in a strong wind. Snow blizzards and fogs will force you to literally make your way by touch, not noticing important objects or lurking danger
• Life is constantly under threat. A careless descent from a hill can lead to a fracture, too heavy a load on your shoulders will send you under the ice when crossing a lake. Wolves and bears are just waiting for an opportunity to attack. Poor quality food can easily cause poisoning, and medicines are a rarity. Not to mention that at night, at temperatures below 40, it is easy to freeze
